The content is incorrect when it says that Milton Keynes is in Buckinghamshire, it is in the county of Milton Keynes which was formed in 1995.

PART II LOCAL GOVERNMENT REORGANISATION IN MILTON KEYNES

Constitution of new county of Milton Keynes 8.—(1) Milton Keynes shall cease to form part of Buckinghamshire.

(2) A new county shall be constituted comprising the area of Milton Keynes and shall be named the county of Milton Keynes.

(3) Section 2(1) of the 1972 Act (which provides that every county shall have a council) shall not apply in relation to the county of Milton Keynes.

I suspect that there are a multitude of discrepancies within Wikipedia that need changing because of the ignorance of those commenting on Milton Keynes regarding this. In fact some employees of Milton Keynes Council are ignorant of this fact.

Not done. Milton Keynes is still in Buckinghamshire [see that article], the ceremonial county. Bucks has two unitary authoritys, which are legally defined as counties to save having to go back and amend hundreds of years worth of acts of Parliament. Unlike Bedfordshire and Northamptonshire, which were divided into uniquely named UAs with no risk of ambiguity, South and Mid Bucks was not given a unique name.
