I reverted the edit about the NIF because the original text is from the US state dept and pretty authoritative about this sort of thing - deletions contradicting them will need to quote some authority of their own. Stan 14:11, 30 Apr 2004 (UTC)

Layout problem

[edit]

This sentence "was around Soba on the Blue Nile. Nobatia" is mostly overlaid by the photo, so that I could only read it by selecting it out and pasting it elsewhere. Obviously it is an HTML layout bug, but I don't know how to fix it. Kofannon 18:14, 6 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

vandalism

[edit]

This article was vandalized overtimes, I think it may be necessary for wikipedia to lock this one temporarily. 202.155.10.98 12:50, 22 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I second that - I've just had to remove a replacement of 'Kush' by 'Kuch Kuch Hota He', references to Hamas, and 'Kush Awas Ada Tikus' the irrelevant part of which seems to be something dumb in Indonesian ('beware, there are rats', Google translate informs me). —Preceding unsigned comment added by 41.185.146.101 (talk) 18:59, 7 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Section on Sultanate of Darfur Needed

[edit]

Where is the section on the Sultanate of Darfur and of the Tunjur and Daju dynasties before it? Sennar is much more recent as a political entity then the states of Darfur. Why have they been completely omitted from the historical narrative of Sudan? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.246.63.221 (talk) 21:44, 20 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Cyberbot II has detected that page contains external links that have either been globally or locally blacklisted. Links tend to be blacklisted because they have a history of being spammed, or are highly innappropriate for Wikipedia. This, however, doesn't necessarily mean it's spam, or not a good link. If the link is a good link, you may wish to request whitelisting by going to the request page for whitelisting. If you feel the link being caught by the blacklist is a false positive, or no longer needed on the blacklist, you may request the regex be removed or altered at the blacklist request page. If the link is blacklisted globally and you feel the above applies you may request to whitelist it using the before mentioned request page, or request it's removal, or alteration, at the request page on meta. When requesting whitelisting, be sure to supply the link to be whitelisted and wrap the link in nowiki tags. The whitelisting process can take its time so once a request has been filled out, you may set the invisible parameter on the tag to true. Please be aware that the bot will replace removed tags, and will remove misplaced tags regularly.

Below is a list of links that were found on the main page:

Omdurman?

[edit]

How can you have a supposed history of the Sudan without even mentioning the decisive battle at Omdurman? This makes me question the objectivity of the rest of the article. 120050ah (talk) 13:41, 19 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@DervotNum4 it might be helpful if you can give a detailed feedback to the student if you removed their edit. It’s a learning process and you seem to be knowledgeable about Sudan and Wikipedia Style FuzzyMagma (talk) 08:07, 20 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
